Day 5

Today was just one of those days when I really didn’t want to get out of bed but never the less I did. I finished the second project that my manager gave me. Then there where some add on and change and I went in the system and did what I had to do. I was in a way getting ready to say goodbye to this place. Even though my last day isn’t until next week it’s the anticipation that im going to leave. It would have only been 8 weeks of me working here at UBS but I love it here. So many people that I meet that I see in the street or have seen before. And now I know whets behind the doors what goes on in the stock market, trading, the buying and the selling. There are things that I have learned here that I can not share with other people but there are things that I have learned here that im going to be able to go out and share with the world. Life is a game but it’s the most important game that either of us will ever play. When we are born most of us can’t choose the cards that we are dealt but we got to suck it up and play them the best way we can. Along this game you meet people and learn new tricks. There are those that u meet from day one play the same game as you, and then there are the ones that bail you out when you hit rock bottom because there just that type of person to give you a break or a helping hand, or they know that with more practice, training, and just one good chance that not only will you just barely make it in this game of life but you will sore with flying colors. There’s a little saying that I like so say and its goes a little something like this. “Aim, shoot for the moon, and even if you miss you’ll land among stars”.

Well in a way I suppose live is about meeting people. Some of which you help and some of which help you. Which brings me back to where I started, 6 degrees, I mean who knows maybe one day you will see it the way I see it or at least understand me. But if you ever happen to need my just remember im only 6 degrees away. Ill hit this up later and im going to do my best to post some poems, weather they come now or later they will come that’s a promise.

Day 4

Today was a good day. It was more relaxed and calm. I got to work and just had a nice easy peaceful work day. I was talking yes today about 6 degrees of separation and like I said it’s true. Im going to try an update a poem tonight so look out for that but now its after 5 and I got to run upstairs to finish the rest of my day so ill hit this up later.

Day 3

Well today was rather pleasant. I went to visit my school this morin and then came to work. When I got to work it was morin munch and an then work we are almost done with our power point presentation and it’s was kind of like wow, I mean there where only 6 of us and we took so long to find a good background for this power point. But in the end I choose on talked to the rest of the people around me and we got it done. We are going to have a meeting today in about 10 mins. To finalize everything. UBS was so important to me I mean I did my best she put out my best effort. I found out that im an analytical person. So that mean that I think and im more logical in doing so. There was so much work an effort yes today put into this project. I also got some nice news yes today. I had a sit down with my manager and she gave me and over view of my performance. She said that I was the most technologically sound intern she has ever had. She also sad she wished that she would have had more time with me so we could have gotten more work done. Then today at lunch we had a guy that work son my floor. He is also on the bored of directors at iMentor. Well it turns out to be a small world after all. And by the way this only makes me more head strong about my belief in the theory of 6degrees of separation. Just to explain that real quickly. 6 degrees of separation it basically says that you are always only 6 people away from someone that can help you and change your life. That’s why I like the promo for the new TV show 6 degrees it says “who will you touch? Who will touch you?” now that something to think about. Ill try and hit this back up later but I got to go my meeting I don’t want to me late

Day 2

Today was just one of those days. I got to work at 8:40. I was working at a good pace but we got this power point presentation. But it’s confusing and annoying, but it’s all apart of the job. I job that im grateful to have. I got this internship by way of the iMwntor program. I was in the iMentor program from since 10th grade and it’s a really cool program. But having a good group of student like we have in Westinghouse is the best. Woo being 50 students strong at 7:15 in the morin and staying late at night not that was the good old days which will soon return in September, yea I remember those days. The Westinghouse Leadership Class. That’s how I got into iMentor. Our Leadership teacher Mr. Izzo he’s the best. I love that man. I call him did. An he owns up to the title. But ill hit this back up later

Day 1

im at work right now im doing this blog. im almost done working for the summer. i am asummer inteern at UBS. i am working at 1285 Avenue of the Americas. UBS in a Global Investment Banking Company. i was lucky enough to get an internship an on 8/18/06 it will be the end of this internship. but im about to go home now so ill hit you back up tomorrow.
